Happy New Year!!! I hope you had a great holiday!!! I sure did. I did absolutely nothing. I was off work the last week of December and the first of January and I loved every minute of it! In today’s post I am sharing the planners, notebooks and journals that I will be using in 2024.
I am a planner girl. I buy a planner in October (November if I’m late to the game) every year. Now, I don’t write in the planner until January 1st of the following year, but I am always prepared to start planning out the next year. For the past four of five years Day Designer has been my planner of choice. If you now anything about planners, that can be rather expensive. I have found Day Designer to serve both my planner and aesthetic purposes. This year I switched sizes. I had been using the mini, but this year I decided to use the larger size. I got the The Daily Planner in the Classic Dot design and I absolutely LOVE it! I needed the larger size because the hourly layout of the planner starts at 5:00 a.m. and my day typically starts at 5:00 a.m. whereas the mini hourly layout starts at 7 a.m. This made me unable to use my planner to its fullest.
Last year was my first year buying a goal planner. I had never really heard of goal planners or even thought about using one. If I’m being honest, I got the goal planner late and It wasn’t diligent about using it. I didn’t pick it up daily, it was very large and it wasn’t my aesthetic. It was extremely colorful and I don’t really like that aesthetic. This year I went with Ink and Volt’s goal planner in black cloth and I like it so far. This evening actually sat down at my desk and starting writing in the planner. It’s very simple, easily laid out and compact.
This year I want to be more intentional about journaling which meant that I had to make it easy for me. Making it easy means having a notebook or journal with me at all times. In comes my trusty traveler’s notebook (TN). I will be using this black and white aztec print TN by Carpe Diem. I’ve been using a TN for years! It is one of my favorite types of ways to take notes and journal. I love covering the inserts with pretty scrapbook paper to make it my own. I have one covered in a black/white heart print (gratitude), a green one (list making), a green floral (blog ideas, etc.), and a pink and green floral (for sorority things of course). Also, the real plus with TNs in that you can have 4 separate inserts to list, document, organize your thoughts or whatever it is that you want to do!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post all about the planners and journals I will be using to keep me organized and on track for 2024. Do you use multiple planners/journals/notebooks to keep your organized? Let me know what your favorites are by commenting!
