Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! Looking polished doesn’t mean dressing up every day—it means showing up with intention. For me, being “prim and proper” is less about perfection and more about the little habits that elevate my everyday life. Here are five simple things I do to feel pulled together, even on the busiest days.
If you’re new around here (or just catching up), here are some recent blog posts you’ll want to check out!
This one habit saves me time and decision fatigue. I always check my calendar, the weather, and how I want to feel the next day—whether it’s confident, relaxed, or creative. Then I lay everything out, from undergarments to accessories.
My go-to uniform during the summer months is a dress and sandals. I absolutely love wearing dresses. I think they exude femininity and they are that one and done piece that make getting dress so easy. My favorite style of dress for the office, is a shirt dress. Shirt dresses are so easy to style. They look amazing with a strappy sandals, flat sandals or a sneaker for a more casual vibe.
A defined brow, mascara, and a lip combo I love (liner + lipstick) are my bare minimum. I can do it in under five minutes, but it instantly makes me feel polished. My make up routine is really simple, but I absolutely love it! You can find my every day make up essentials here. I have been loving applying make up every morning. Even though it makes my morning routine a little longer, I truly enjoy making up my face and being pretty all day.
I treat my clothes with care: gentle detergent, air drying when possible, and a handheld steamer instead of an iron. It helps even my most affordable pieces look elevated. I personally prefer the iron unless I’m getting the wrinkles out of linen or a more delicate garment. I use this iron and this steamer and they both work very well. I never leave the house without my clothes being pressed. It’s such an easy step to make to ensure you look polished.

The right belt, bag, or earrings can change everything. I try to keep my accessories cohesive across a color palette (neutrals with pops of gold or blush pink) so I can mix and match effortlessly. I also prefer gold jewelry over silver jewelry. I think it look better against my skin; but having my go-to pieces make accessorizing easier. You don’t need a whole lot of anything, you just need the right things to make all of your looks pop. These gold hoop earrings are my favorite. I wear them at least once a week. I also wear this dainty bracelet from Shein (until I find something better) that I love to wear on the wrist with my watch.
Looking put-together starts with feeling that way. I make time for quiet mornings while showering, I talk to my older sister on the phone as well as have the TV playing in the background. As of late, I’ve been watching the Big Bang Theory which gives me a good laugh to get my day started. When I set the tone, my style naturally follows.
I hope you enjoyed this post all about what I wore in Anaheim! If you found this post helpful for an upcoming trip or you found outfit inspiration – let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear about it.
’til next time!
xo, Robyn
