Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! In my last post I shared how I organize my calligraphy supplies. In today’s post I’m going to share how I organized store my nibs. I used to keep all of my nibs in this D. Leondart & Co. case. It is very small and you can’t really organize anything it in, only store nibs. It worked for the past four years, but as I am practicing more and experimenting with different nibs, I found it necessary to find a way to organize and store my nibs.
I plan to continue using the D. Leonardt & Co. case to store old nibs (for some reason I can’t seem to part with my old nibs), but going forward I will be using these to store and organize new nibs.

So, I have been on sort of an organization kick as of late. I found the ArtBin brand and I really like their products. They are very good for organizing art supplies. (that’s probably why the brand name is ArtBin LOL)!!!The quality is great (so far) and I really like that you can see through them. This allowed me the ability to take my organization to the next level and use my Cricut to label the cases.
I purchased the ArtBin Slim Line 6-Compartment 4×4 Mini Micro Storage Boxes from Plaza Art. They come in a pack of 2! Each case comes with 6 compartments, so if you are new to calligraphy and you only have a few nibs this works perfectly!

Because I LOVE the color pink, and all of my craft organization uses pink vinyl, I also used some scrap pink vinyl to label this nib case. Nibs are organized by type (i.e., Hunt 101, Hunt 102, Nikko G, etc.) and they fit nicely into each of the compartments in the case.

Organization has been the theme for me in 2022 and I am organizing EVERYTHANG!!! I really like that I am able to use my Cricut machine for organization/personalization as well. Because the cases are made out of acrylic, I was able to label each section with the name of the nib, or at least an abbreviation for the nib name.

As you can see, I have room to grow so I will be purchasing different nibs to play around with. It’s so much fun to try new nibs and ink colors. I plan on doing a post in the future about how to make your own inks using gouache.
If you are searching for a new way to organize and store your nibs, I highly recommend this. It will allow you to store a ton of nibs while separating them by nib (if that makes sense).
’til next time!
