Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve noticed that over the past week I have been posting “looks” for HBCU Homecoming Season. I know homecoming is a big deal for most, if not all colleges and universities; but I believe that HBCU’s do homecoming better! They bring out current students, alumni, community members, children, businesses, you name…they’re there. Because of this, I thought it would be cool to share inspirational looks for those of you who may be attending an HBCU homecoming this year.
I didn’t “shop” for any of the tops – I honestly don’t have the time to do that, but I did search for all of the bottoms, shoes and jewelry. ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY
Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (Alabama A&M University or AAMU) is my alma mater! I am a two time graduate of the Alabama A&M University, so I know what homecoming looks like for this HBCU specifically. We (alumni and students alike) tend to dress along the whole spectrum during the homecoming game and tailgating. Anywhere between super casual and extremely dressy. I used to be one of those girls who wore jeans and heels at the game until I started to tailgate the majority of the time. When this happens, your comfort is way more important that what you are wearing, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t want to look stylish.
