Pretty, Prim, and Proper picks for an effortlessly chic summer wardrobe.
Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! There’s something about summer style that calls for ease—but ease should never mean sacrificing polish. As someone who loves timeless pieces with a touch of feminine charm, I’ve learned that the secret to dressing well (without overthinking it) lies in having a few go-to staples that just work. These are the pieces I find myself reaching for week after week—the ones that make getting dressed feel simple, chic, and completely in line with my style.
Today, I’m sharing my ride-or-die summer wardrobe staples—the ones that help me feel poised and polished, no matter where the day takes me.
If you’re new around here (or just catching up), here are some recent blog posts you’ll want to check out!
There’s a reason this silhouette never goes out of style. It’s breezy, breathable, and beautifully versatile. I love it paired with neutral slides and a structured straw bag for a look that feels put together with zero effort. I bought a couple of linen shirt dresses last year and I love them. They came with a tie-waist belt, but they can be worn more casually without the belt, a little more elevated with a leather belt or very chic by tying the tie waist belt to the back instead of the front! Super chic and unexpected.
I just placed a linen order at Quince. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts with you. Quince never disappoints! They are the best place to shop for affordable linen and cashmere pieces.

A clean, neutral sandal instantly elongates the leg and goes with everything. Whether I’m running errands or heading to brunch, a minimalist slide adds just enough elegance. I purchased these really cute slides from Schutz last week and I’ve been wearing them non-stop! They are in a blush snake print leather and the heel isn’t ridiculously high. They go with everything.
I also bought this pair of flat slides and this pair last week. I’m waiting on them to be delivered and I’lld definitely share my thoughts either here or on LTK.
If you’re looking for a cute jelly slide, check these out!
Functional and fashion-forward, a straw tote is my summer carry-all. I love one with leather details or gold hardware for an elevated finish. I bought my current straw tote by Furla a few years ago, but I’m looking for something a little smaller for every day wear. You can find my straw bag edit here.
Tote tip: Look for one with a flat base and sturdy handles—you’ll use it all season long.
I reach for these when I want to feel dressed without wearing a dress. Pair them with a tucked-in blouse or a slim tank and you’re ready for a casual meeting, lunch date, or travel day. I am still on the hunt for the perfect wide leg linen pant. I’ve found a few pairs that I am definitely going to try that I think you should at least take a second glance at. Even the simplest outfit feels intentional with the right finishing touch. I love a pair of pearl studs, a gold bracelet, or even a dainty headband to complete the look. I got these Tory Burch pearl studs a few years ago for Christmas and I wear them at least once a week. They are my favorite studs. The Tory Burch logo is not too overdone, but it adds just a little hint of something. I wear this dainty bracelet on the same wrist as my watch every day. It just a little simple touch that makes me feel a little more put together – even on the most casual days…and get this…it’s from Shein! It’s not the best quality (I actually should buy a real gold bracelet since I wear it everyday), but it’s so cute!
These gold hoop earrings by Nashelle are AMAZING! They aren’t too big, but they aren’t small either. They are the perfect size to make the right statement. They pull together the simplest outfits.
A few polished picks:
Style doesn’t stop at clothing. A soft, feminine fragrance pulls everything together. Right now, I’m loving Bergamote 22 by Le Labo for its clean, slightly floral vibe that feels fresh without being overpowering. It is my signature summer scent. I am so excited when spring rolls around and I get to wear this delightful scent. Last summer I picked up Valaya by Parfums de Marly and it’s a beautiful scent as well. I don’t love it as much as I love Bergamote 22, but I receive so many compliments when I wear it. If you are looking for a signature scent, check out this blog post where I shared some favorites from four of my closest friends.
When you invest in versatile pieces that reflect your personal aesthetic, getting dressed becomes a joy rather than a chore. These are the staples that make me feel confident, pulled together, and completely me. If you’re curating your own summer capsule, start here—and don’t forget to make it yours.
I hope you enjoyed this post all about the those summer pieces that I wear on repeat. What are your go-to summer pieces that you wear on repeat? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments.
’til next time!

I absolutely LOVE the pink pocket baby doll dress and the pintsized heels are so cute paired with it.
Great Post Robyn.

Portia ParishThanks, Portia! I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep the shoes, but I have worn them at least five times already and I’ve only had them for about two weeks! They are very comfortable to wear.
