Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! When the weather warms up, my beauty routine shifts into something lighter, fresher, and glowier. Summer is all about skin that breathes, products that multitask, and a look that feels polished but never overdone. In today’s post, I’m sharing the summer beauty staples I reach for time and time again—the ones that help me look radiant from morning coffee runs to sunset dinners.
If you’re new around here (or just catching up), here are some recent blog posts you’ll want to check out!
Hydration and sun protection are non-negotiables. I start with a gentle cleanser, follow up with a hydrating toner and lightweight moisturizer, and finish with an SPF that layers beautifully under makeup.
I have been using Tatcha’s The Rice Wash for years. It is my favorite cleanser throughout the year. It feels amazing on the skin and it does a great job of cleansing. The toner I’m loving as of late is this one by fresh. It has a nice rose scent with tons of rose petals. I use Sunday Riley’s C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream as a moisturizer to ensure my skin gets its daily dose of vitamin C and I end the routine with Supergoop’s Glow Screen!

Instead of heavy foundation, I opt for a tinted moisturizer or skin tint that gives a natural glow. A swipe of brow gel, cream blush, and a touch of highlighter on the high points of my face keep things polished and effortless.
I think summer is prime season for effortless looks. What I mean by that is summer is the time when that undone-done look is appropriate. You don’t want too look too “made up” or too “perfect.” You want a natural look that screams “I woke up like this” as opposed to “I worked so hard on my make up this morning.”

I love a soft lip that adds just the right touch of color. Lately, I’ve been wearing a combination of a creamy nude pencil with a pretty brown lipstick for a neutral everyday look. It’s a combo that’s become a signature.
For those days when I want to add a little more drama, I love a red lip! It is really a signature lip color for me. I also love a deep magenta lip as well. My go-to magenta is Indian Pink by Sephora in their liquid lipstick. I don’t think they sell it anymore at Sephora, but I found a really pretty bright pink at MAC.
Blotting papers, setting spray, and a travel-sized brush keep my look intact when temps rise. I keep these essentials in my everyday carry for quick touch-ups.
I’ve rounded up all of my summer beauty favorites in one place—head over to my LTK to shop every product featured in today’s post. Whether you’re refreshing your routine or looking for a few new staples, these pieces are all about helping you feel fresh, pretty, and polished. You can find every time mentioned and show in this blog post here.
I hope you enjoyed this post all about how to have a polished glow during the warmer months. What’s your go-to summer routine? I would love to hear all about it in the comments.
’til next time,
xo, Robyn
