Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! In today’s post, I thought it would be fun to share the new pieces in my wardrobe. I have been shopping quite a bit as of late…but for affordable pieces. I’m talking Walmart and Target finds that I have absolutely fallen in love with! I have never been a true Walmart or Target shopper for clothes, shoes and/or accessories, but I am learning as I’m aging and since we are behaving a little differently now fashion wise – that it’s important that my wardrobe reflect my true lifestyle which is truly a balance of casual, business casual and business attire. As such, I decided to give Target and Walmart a go for casual pieces that I can wear when I work from home, when I’m running errands and then some pieces that are elevated casual pieces that will mesh well with some of my higher end and moderately priced pieces.
EFFORTLESSLY STYLISH ESSENTIALS FROM TARGET
The first pieces that I purchased from Target that I fell in love with instantly were these black track pants. They feature a tuxedo strip down the sides of the pants, an elasticated drawstring waist, they are mid-rise and they have a slide slit. They are so cute and very comfortable. Because of the length and the material, I felt that they would be a style of pant that could be easily dressed up or down to fit the occasion. I would say that these pants run TTS. I’m wearing a size medium.
Then I came across this two-piece set. I got this in black as well. The material is extremely soft and the pants are wide leg. The jacket is slightly cropped, but it the perfect piece paired with these pants. I would definitely wear this on the weekend to run errands or if I have a community service activity during fall to attend and the attire was casual. The sleeves on the jacket are roomy enough for you to wear a long sleeve top if you wanted to which makes it the perfect outfit for fall. Runs TTS. I’m wearing a size medium in both pieces.
CHIC AND AFFORDABLE FINDS AT WALMART
As I stated before, I’ve never shopped frequently shopped at Walmart for clothing, but when I saw these faux leather puffer vests, I knew they would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. I picked up one in black and this cognac color. I knew immediately that I would style them with faux leather leggings and a lightweight knit turtleneck for a sophisticated weekend look. Runs TTS. I’m wearing a size medium.
Because quilted pieces are trending this fall, I decided to pick up this quilted belted vest as well. I thought that this would be the perfect piece to wear on weekends or to kinda of make a business look a little more business casual. Runs TTS. I’m wearing a size medium.
I also picked up this black sweater dress and this green shirt dress, both of which are perfect for fall! The black sweater dress has a mock neck, a side slit and it has somewhat of a lace illusion on the sleeves and the décolletage. It is so stinking cute!!! I think this is also a piece that can be dressed up or down. Runs TTS. I’m wearing a size medium. The green shirt dress is perfect for fall. It is slightly mini in length, but it does come past my finger tips, when makes it appropriate for business casual wear. It has utility pockets and a tie waist belt. I think this dress it going to be the perfect dress to pair with knee high riding boots this fall.
TRENDY TWO-PIECE ENSEMBLE FROM AMERICAN EAGLE
I’m always looking for chic, casual pink and green pieces to add to my wardrobe. Being an AKA, it’s a must, but if I’m being honest it it kinda hard for me to find casual pink and green that I like or that I feel suites my personal style. When I saw this two-piece jacket and pants set, I knew it would be perfect! the pants are wide leg with an elasticated waist and they feature white piping down the sides. The pullover style jacket is so cute! It has piping along the upper chest and the waist band is the perfect width to allow the jacket to rest over it kind like a shirt. The sleeves on the jacket are also roomy enough so that long sleeve shirts can be worn under it. Both pieces run TTS. I’m wearing a size medium in both pieces.
I hope you enjoyed this post all about the new affordable pieces in my wardrobe! Do you shop at Target or Walmart frequently for clothes? If so, let me know what your go-to brands are! I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
’til next time!
xo, Robyn
