Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! In today’s post I want to talk about a topic that I don’t know a whole lot about. LOL! I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true! I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge on jewelry, but jewelry is becoming a huge part of me getting dressed everyday which means that I feel compelled to share my thoughts and ideas with you. I want to share my thoughts on the importance of curating a jewelry wardrobe that is uniquely and personally – you. Let me start by saying that I believe that jewelry (like everything else style wise) should compliment you, your lifestyle, and your wardrobe. If you are anything like me, you’re a regular woman who has a career, you may be active in your community and you go out with friends or your significant other every once in a while. This typically means that you don’t have a true need for diamonds dripping from your neck on a regular basis – you can get by with a few key pieces that will leave you looking polished not matter the occasion.
I believe that every elegant, classy woman needs to have a few staple jewelry pieces in her wardrobe. After you have these staples, you can add any extra pieces that you’d like to add to your collection. I have created a little collection on the LTK app of some really cute pieces that I ordered from SHEIN. Not only are they very affordable, they are dainty and chic and would make a great addition to your jewelry wardrobe. If you’re interested in looking at those pieces you can access the collection here.
EARRINGS
It’s really important for a woman to have these three pairs of earrings – a good gold hoop (or silver if that’s your preference), a pearl stud, a pair of diamond/cubic zirconia stud earrings and a statement earring (like a gold drop). Like I stated earlier, after these staples you can add whatever earrings you want to curate a collection that fits your personal style and your lifestyle. Let’s break these earrings down.
Hoops – hoops are the perfect earrings to dress a look up or down. They look very good when you have your hair pulled up in a bun/ponytail, but they also look really good when your hair is natural and pulled off your face. They are the perfect earring for most occasions. You can wear them to work, church or date night. These are my go-to. They are large enough to make a statement, but not too large that they are a distraction.
Pearl Studs – I don’t know how many times I’ve shared this with you all, but I am an AKA and we love our pearls. I think pearls are the classiest stone for women. A simple pearl stud looks good with just about anything. I wear them with jeans and a t-shirt, and I wear them to work often when I want to look really polished. I’ve also created a Pearl Edit on the LTK app. You can access the edit here. I got these Tory Burch pearl studs for Christmas a couple of years ago and I wear them all of the time!
Diamond Studs – I don’t get a whole lot of wear out of my diamond studs, but I do pull them out when I’m going for a very dainty and demure look. I typically wear these (oddly enough) when I get massages or facials because the earrings are small enough where they won’t get pulled out of my ears by mistake. I also don’t own a lot of silver jewelry, so I wear the diamond studs when I’m wearing an outfit that I feel needs silver jewelry instead of gold.

NECKLACES
Jewelry is one of those accessories (like most) that is truly personal and it really depends on your personal style. If you are seeking recommendations for classic jewelry, I have the basic pieces that you need for your jewelry wardrobe.
Gold/Silver/White Gold Charm Necklace – I find that an everyday necklace is a must have in every woman’s wardrobe. This piece can be added to the simplest of outfits, very casual outfits and possibly used as a layering piece for those times when you want to be a little more snazzy! I’ve been wearing this pendant necklace by Kate Spade since I bought it. It also makes a great gift!
Pearl Necklace – I also think that a single strand of pearls or a chain with a pearl charm is the perfect necklace for occasions where you want to appear more polished and sophisticated. Either of these styles would be perfect to pair with your pearl stud earrings. For a more dramatic look, a multi-strand of pearls is always a great idea! Here is a pearl necklace that would be perfect to add to your jewelry wardrobe.
BRACELETS
I think that bracelets may be my favorite piece of jewelry. I love to have a bracelet peaking from under the sleeve of a top or sweater. I also think that adding a bracelet to a casual look immediately elevates the look and make you look more stylish and buttoned up. These are the styles of bracelets that make great pieces to start a jewelry wardrobe.
Gold/SilverWhite Gold Charm Bracelet – Because I love a good simple bracelet, a gold bracelet with a little or large charm is always a win in my book! The charm just adds a little hint of fun to an otherwise simple piece of jewelry. This bracelet from Brinker and Eliza has become a favorite of mine. It has a large charm that is always a showstopper.
Pearl Bracelet – pearls are one of my favorite gems. I think they are beautiful and scream sophistication without doing too much. A simple strand of parts is always a great choice, but you can always find good simple gold bracelets with a simple pearl as well. I got this pearl bracelet by Karine Sultan for Christmas last year and I’ve been wearing it non-stop.
Tennis Bracelet – now if you have the budget for a real tennis bracelet, I say go for it. I don’t have the budget for a real one and I honestly don’t own a faux one; but I do understand the hype of having a little sparkle on the wrist.
RINGS
I feel like rings are the accessory that stumps me the most and I’m not sure why. I love a good statement ring when I getting dressed for a night out, but on a day-to-day basis, I can go without one. Now that I have a few more options in my collections, I will try my best to wear a ring even on the days when I don’t have anything special planned.
Pearl Ring -If you already have a good pearl collection, you might as well as a nice pearl ring to your jewelry wardrobe. It will pull your accessories together.
Statement Cocktail Ring – for those cool nights out you need a ring that will make a statement even when your outfit may be the simplest. A nice ring that makes a statement can truly make your outfit that more sophisticated and chic. Here is a cute cocktail ring that inspired one of my SHEIN rings.
Simple Gold/Silver Ring – These rings are for your every day looks. Days when you’re headed to the office and you look cute, but you can’t put your finger on what’s missing from your look – it’s a simple ring. I’m sure I mentioned this before, but I am a gold accessory girl so my go-to is gold…if you prefer silver…go with silver. Here is a good ring to look at if you’re interested in purchasing a simple, gold ring.

I hope you enjoyed this post on how to curate an exceptional jewelry wardrobe at any budget. Be sure to check out my SHEIN jewelry collection on the LTK app. I have also linked some other pieces throughout this post that I hope you’ll enjoy.
’til next time!
xo, Robyn
