Packing for a trip can be just as exciting as going on the trip! I start planning my outfits for trips weeks in advance. I create a packing list in my Traveler’s Notebook and check things off the list as I pack them. I always have the best intentions and plan to start packing days before my trip, but for some reason I always end up packing the night before so having a packing list keeps me sane. A couple of weeks ago I took a mini beach vacay to Destin, Florida. Here’s what I packed for the trip!
The outfits. I packed about five outfits for this trip. I always make sure that I pack essentials/basics so that I can create different outfits if I need to. It rained quite a bit while we were there, so I’m glad that I packed a pair of jeans and a pair of water resistant sneakers so that I could stay stylish and dry.
You can find the details for what I work on days one – four here.
I pack minimal jewelry that goes well with all of the outfits that I pack so that I don’t over pack. I feel like it’s very easy to overpack, but if you keep your outfits simple (which makes sense for a beach trip), your jewelry can be simple as well. For this trip I opted for gold jewelry – pretty much the jewelry that I wear on a regular basis – gold hoop earrings, Kate Spade pendant necklace, gold bracelet and Tory Burch Pearl stud earrings.
I hope you enjoyed this post all about what I packed for my trip to Destin. If you want to see what I packed in my beach bag, let me know in the comments below!
’til next time!
