Best Mascara, Lipstick, Concealer, Blush, and Setting Powder | Makeup Favorites
Hey pretty girl! Welcome back to the blog! In today’s post I am sharing my top five beauty products. These are the products that I have been loving and using on repeat. I want to remind you that make up is relatively new to me. By that I mean that I just started wearing make up regularly about two years ago. Now that I wear make up more regularly, I am trying new products, brands, etc. and I want to share all of my new finds and finds that I LOVE with you!
LIPSTICK
It should come as no surprise that lipstick made the list and at the top of my list is this red lipstick by Fenty Beauty. The shade is called The MVP and it is a true blue-red lipstick. It is by far one of my favorite shades of red. I think it looks really good on brown skin and I think it is the perfect complement to black, white and white/blue outfits. I can almost guarantee you that if my outfit is any of the aforementioned color combos…my lips are red and I am probably wearing The MVP.
When I wear any shade of red lipstick, I line my lips with a purple-y lip liner and just add the lipstick. I’ll also add a few of my other favorite red shades of lipsticks.

MASCARA
Mascara is a make up product that I’ve worn more than any other. It is really easy to apply and I think it’s a beauty product that can easily transform your face with minimal effort. Prior to using this mascara by Sephora, I loved this one by Too Face. I wore it exclusively for years. I have been using this one by Sephora this year and I’ve loved it! When I want to give my lashes an extra boost, I pair it with this one by Sephora. A trick that a professional make up artist shared with me is to pair two different mascaras that do two different things to give your lashes a faux lash look. It works every time!

CONCEALER
I’ve watched a ton of make up tutorial YouTube videos and most of the YouTubers I watch talk about this concealer. This concealer is amazing and worth all of the hype. Prior to using the ShapeTape concealer by Tarte, I was using this one by Nars – which is good by the way. I like the Shape Tape because it gives more coverage and the applicator is very thick. I wear the shade 53N and Amanda in the Nars concealer.

When I first started wearing makeup a little more regularly, outside of mascara, I would wear blush. I think blush is beautiful and it adds a little pop of color to your face. This blush by Gucci in the shade Warm Berry is super pigmented. I mean, it’s so pigmented that I always dab the brush on my hand prior to applying it to my face! That’s not a drawback of the blush, it’s definitely then best part about the product. I am looking shadeforward to getting the Bright Coral which I think would look good on my skin.
SETTING POWDER
I was the girl who would wear concealer without setting powder because I had no idea what it was for. Now that I know that it helps keep your skin from creasing where you’ve applied concealer, I have been trying out a couple different brands. My favorite is now this one by Fenty Beauty. I love it because it is finely milled (which I’m learning is of the utmost importance). What I love the most is that is perfect for my skin tone. I use the shade Hazelnut.
